London, Oct 5: Comedian James Cordon, known for his TV and theatre work is expected to be the next big name in acting.
The 34-year-old has received appreciation for his work in television sitcom "Gavin and Stacey" and plays like "The History Boys".
However, it was his recent play "One Man, Two Guvnors" that got him fame and won the prestigious Tony Award for theatre.
"James's stock has gone up massively since he won the Tony award," thesun.co.uk quoted a source as saying.
"US film chiefs consider him one of the rising stars in Hollywood and he's getting plenty of interest," the source added.
Cordon is in talks with director Rob Marshall to work in a movie adaptation of musical "Into The Woods". He is expected to star alongside actress Meryl Streep.
