Los Angeles, Sep 26: The Latin Recording Academy announced here on Tuesday the list of the nominees for the 13th edition of the Latin Grammy awards, this year led by Dominican singer-songwriter Juan Luis Guerra with six nominations.
Mexican duo Jesse & Joy garnered five nominations, while Juanes, Ricardo Arjona, Caetano Veloso, Carla Morrison, Arturo Sandoval and Ivete Sangalo each landed four nominations.
The announcement of the nominees took place at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. On hand for the event, among others, were Juanes and Shaila Durcal, who will compete for two awards for Mexican regional music.
This year, the academy increased to 10 the number of nominees in the four general categories of Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best New Artist.
The Latin Grammy awards ceremony will take place Nov 15 at Las Vegas's Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino.
