Mexican beauty Barbara Mori, who debuts in Bollywood opposite Hrithik Roshan in 'Kites' says she believes in living life on her own terms.
"I always wanted to be myself. I try to be honest in relationship and live life as I want without being bothered about people would say. Women are very emotional and men will be men wherever they come from," Barbara said about her past relationships.
The 32-year-old single mother says she does not think she will ever get married. "I first fell in love when I was 14. But, he was not a gentleman. Later, I met my son's father," she recalled.
Barbara said she is in touch with her son's father. "I have to...because of my son. He is a good father," she said.
The actress said cultures were different in India and Mexico. "In Mexico, it is easy to be a single mother. I don't think in India it is possible," she said.
Barbara said the relationship she shares with her 12-year-old son Sergeio was the best.
"We share a honest relationship. It is more of true love and friendship. He trusts me and tells me everything. I try to understand him. I may not be a perfect mother, but I think I am good mother," she said.
She said 'Kites' is her 7th film in her ten-year-old career. "I have done ten soap operas and six films in Spanish so far. I love films from Argentina and especially the suspense genre," Barbara said.
She said she decided to be an actress when she realised that she enjoyed being in front of the camera while doing modelling assignments.
Barbara said she likes to spend time with her family when not shooting because they help her to stay rooted. She said even though she does not like comedy, she is open for offers if the film is good.
The actress said she would love to keep working in Bollywood movies and is sure to come back next year to shoot for another film.
"I will come back in January, if everything goes well. I have to go through the script first before taking a final decision," she said. PTI
