Los Angeles: Actress Amy Adams says she was confused and frustrated when an interview she was due to give to a TV channel was scrapped because she was unwilling to talk about the Sony hack.

The 40-year-old was scheduled to appear on the NBC morning show Monday. But when producers asked her to talk abut the recent hack attack, she felt “uncomfortable” as she was hoping to just discuss her film “Big Eyes” and did not want to weigh in on the studio's scandal, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

“I expressed (to Today's producers) that I was uncomfortable. I said I would rather not add my voice to this conversation,” USA Today newspaper quoted Adams as saying.

“But it was clear they were drawing a hard line. That this would be part of the conversation,” she added.

Adams said she still was expecting to appear on the show after explaining her stance to producers.

“I walked away from the conversation and went up to the room to do the interview. I assumed they were going to ask me about (the hack). And I was prepared for that, to whatever degree I was prepared,” she added.

However, she was told minutes later that the interview was off.

“I was confused and definitely frustrated. I still don't understand,” said.

Later, it was confirmed in a statement that the show's producers pulled the segment because the show doesn't allow guests to put restrictions on interview topics.
