Los Angeles, Nov 2: 'Mamma Mia' star Amanda Seyfried is in negotiations to star in 'Lovelace', a biopic about famous 1970s porn star Linda Lovelace.
It will be a challenging role for 25-year-old Seyfried, who is mostly known for her girl-next-door image with films like 'Mean Girls', 'Mamma Mia!', 'Letters to Juliet' and 'Red Riding Hood'.
Peter Sarsgaard is in talks to play Lovelace's husband in the movie, who is famous for her performance in 'Deep Throat'. It was a sensation when it was released in 1972, and catapulted Lovelace to stardom, the Hollywood Reporter said.
It will be directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman from a script by W Merritt Johnson and Andy Bellin.
The story is based on 'The Complete Linda Lovelace', a biography by Eric Danville, published in 2001, one year before Lovelace died.
The film is competing with another biopic about Lovelace 'Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story', which would star Malin Akerman and Matt Dillon.
