Oscars 2019 Highlights: Rami Malek, Olivia Colman win Best Actor, Actress; Alfonso Cuaron wins Best Director
Black Panther, Bohemian Rhapsody, Green Book score big at Oscars 2019.
The glittering ceremony of the 91st Academy Awards began in full swing at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on February 24, Monday. All the renowned celebrities are set to honour some of the best talent and films of 2018. Hollywood's big night will not have a traditional host this year and the last time that the Academy Awards went ahead without a host was back in 1989. Now, this time Oscars 2019 will be presented by a list of presenters that include the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Tina Fey, Brie Larson, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Amandla Stenberg, Charlize Theron, among various others. Meanwhile, India based documentary Period. End of Sentence is in the running for the short documentary feature trophy. Producer Guneet Monga is headed for the Oscars with a group of women who were cast for the documentary film.

9:39 am: Alfonso Cuaron wins best director for Roma
9: 25 am: Olivia Colman wins Best Actress in a Leading Role for The Favourite.
9: 10 am: Rami Malek wins Best Actor in a Leading Role for Bohemian Rhapsody . "I may not have been the obvious choice, but it worked out", says the actor.
9: 00 am: Shallow from A Star is Born wins Original Song.
8:50 am: Black Panther picks up another Oscar Awards, this time for Best Original Score.
8:40 am: Green Book wins Best Original Screenplay Oscar for Nick Vallelonga. Meanwhile, Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar goes to BlacKKKlansman.
8: 30 am: Skin wins Live Action Short Film Oscar.
8: 20 am: The Oscars 2019 for Best Visual Effects goes to First Man.
8: 15 am: Indian film producer Guneet Monga 's Period. End of Sentence wins Best Documentary Short Subject. 'Period. End of Sentence', an India set film on the taboos around menstruation and featuring the real 'Pad Man', and emerged the winner. Other nominees included 'Black Sheep', 'End Game', 'Lifeboat' and 'A Night At The Garden'.
8: 10 am: BAO wins Best Animated Short film.
7: 55 am: Michelle Yeoh and Pharell Williams present the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film to Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse.
7: 45 am: Mahershala Ali wins Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Green Book.
7: 40 am: It's Oscar number three for Bohemian Rhapsody. John Ottman wins Best Dilm Editing for the film.
7: 30 am: Javier Bardem and Angela Bassett presented Best Foreign Language Film Oscar to Alfonso Cuarón for his Mexican visual masterpiece Roma .
7: 20 am: Bohemian Rhapsody gets Oscar 2019 wins for Sound Editing and Sound Mixing.
7: 10 am; Director Alfonso Cuarón wins the Best Cinematography for his Mexican visual masterpiece Roma.
7: 05 am: Black Panther is on a roll! After winning the Best Costume Design Oscar, the film also won Production Design.
7: 00 am: The Academy Awards for Makeup and Hairstyling goes to Vice while Wakanda Forever! Ruth Carter wins the Best Costume Design Oscar for Black Panther. "Thank you for honoring African Royalty and the empowered way women can look and lead on screen", says Ruth Carter.
