New Delhi: Hollywood couple Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have grown estranged and the former filed for a divorce earlier this week. In a new twist in the tale, the actress has alleged that the 52-year-old Oscar nominated actor beat her quite a number of times.
Threatened by Depp, Heard reportedly approached a court and has managed to obtain a restraining order against him. Amber showed the court images of her bruised face, which she claimed she got when Depp hit her on Saturday, last week.
In a sworn statement, Amber said;
“During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me.”
Carl Moor of the Los Angeles Superior Court banned Depp from coming within 100 yards of Heard, after reviewing 40 pages of evidence. The order will be reviewed on June 17, said reports.

Leading entertainment website TMZ had earlier this week published a picture of Amber with a bruise under her eye. Amber said that on Saturday, Johnny hurled his iPhone at her and the picture was taken minutes after the incident.
The report in TMZ read,
“Heard claims after he allegedly hit her, he offered her money to stay quiet, but instead she filed for divorce first thing Monday morning," TMZ said.”
Amber’s attorneys have said that she is going through a really tough time. Amber seeks spousal support from her husband. Reportedly, in her petition, she has asked that she is allowed to keep the couple’s house, a Range Rover and custody of dogs.
Amber and Johnny parted ways in less than a week after the demise of the latter’s mother.
The representative of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor said in a statement,
“Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life.”
Amber and Johnny met on the sets of 2011 film, ‘The Rum Diary’ and got married in Los Angeles in February 2015.
