Popular TV shows Game of Thrones and Westworld will skip the Comic-Con this year. It is for the first time that "Game of Thrones" will miss its annual trip to San Diego, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

"Due to production schedules and air dates for Game of Thrones and Westworld, these series will not be presented at San Diego Comic-Con this summer," HBO representatives said.

"HBO has a longstanding relationship with SDCC, and we are very grateful for the fans' enthusiastic response over the years. We look forward to returning in the future."

Game of Thrones panel is one of the most anticipated events at Comic-Con while "Westworld", which made its debut last year, has also achieved a cult status with two good seasons.

Comic-Con runs from July 18 to 22 this year.
