Deepika Padukone nominated for Teen Choice Awards against Gal Gadot

Actress Deepika Padukone has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award in Choice Movie Actress category.

Actress Deepika Padukone, who made her Hollywood debut alongside Vin Diesel with xXx: Return of Xander Cage, has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award in Choice Movie Actress category. The actress received appreciation for her role of Selena Unger in the Hollywood flick. Deepika will be fighting with her co-stars Nina Dobrev and Ruby Rose for the trophy. The information was shared on the official twitter handle of the award show.

Along with Deepika, other nominees are Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot, Michelle Rodriguez and Kaya Scodelario. Deepika’s xXx co-star Vin Diesel has also been nominated in the category of Choice Action Movie Actor. Vin will be competing with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Brenton Thwaites, Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman and Johnny Depp for the award.

It is yet to be seen who bags the honour and whose work gets the appreciation.

Ever since Deepika entered the Hollywood, she was being compared to actress Priyanka Chopra. The latter won many awards for her American thriller series Quantico. Now, it is Deepika's turn to win award for her spectacular performance. 

xXx director DJ Caruso recently informed that Deepika will also star in the sequel of xXx: Return of Xander Cage. The dimpled beauty will also be seen sharing the screen space with actors Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial venture Padmavati.
