Captain Marvel New Trailer: Carol Danvers gets into intense Starforce training
The makers of the film Captain Marvel released a brand new trailer during the College Football National Championship game between the Clemson Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide. ESPN showcased both a behind-the-scenes look of Captain Marvel as well as an extended special video. Though the full Captain Marvel trailer only released last month, a special trailer gives more insight. Talking about the trailer, the trailer opens with Carol Danvers giving us a proper explanation of who the shape-shifting Skrulls and tells Nick Fury that an alien invasion is on the way.
Taking to Instgram, the official handle of Marvel Studios released the trailer and said, "Hope begins with a hero. Check out this special look at #CaptainMarvel!".
The trailer also showcases Carol fighting in space and some training with Jude Law. It also features Carol showing off her photon blast for Fury. Carol and Fury feature plenty of the funny quips which are quite common in all the MCU movies. We also get a glimpse of Jude Law's mysterious character who trains Larson.
Captain Marvel's solo movie was originally slated to arrive in 2018, but the additions of Spider-Man and an Ant-Man sequel shifted it to 2019. Fans have been eagerly waiting for her official debut in the MCU since the time she was teased in the Avengers: Infinity War post-credits scene. The solo movie, which is set against 90s Marvel, is a prequel to majority of the MCU and will introduce Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), a woman who grows up on earth and becomes an Air Force fighter pilot, but she disappears and eventually returns as a Kree team member known as Starforce and has no memories of her past. She reappears on Earth looking to find who truly she is and to end the Kree-Skrull War.
