In a huge relief to actor Brad Pitt, the FBI has closed investigation into the child abuse allegations against him. The agency in a statement on Tuesday confirmed that they have reviewed the circumstances and will not pursue the matter further.
It was alleged that Brad abused Maddox (one of his six children) on a private plane in September when the family was flying from France to the USA. Brad’s wife actress Angelina Jolie had filed for divorce following the alleged incident.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce had come as a rude shock to everyone. Jolie, had cited irreconcilable differences as a reason for filing the divorce in September. Thereafter, she seeked sole custody the kids whereas her husband wanted joint legal and physical custody.
The couple who had been together for 12 years and married for two years, have six children Maddox, 15; Pax, 12; Zahara, 11; Shiloh, 10; and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8. As if now the kids are staying with their mother with ‘therapeutic visits’ from the father.
Earlier this month, Brad Pitt was cleared by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services in the same case. Brad’s vindication by the department was preceded with social workers taking interviews with the couple, eye witnesses and children.
On the work front, Brad is on a world tour for his latest release ‘Allied’. He made his first appearance post the split a few days ago accompanied by actress Julia Roberts.
