The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has confirmed that Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide. After the final AIIMS forensic report claimed that it is a case of 'clear suicide,' CBI has stated that when the crime scene was recreated, no evidence of murder was found, according to Indian Express. Earlier, Sushant's family had claimed that the actor was murdered and his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty is responsible for it. The late actor's father KK Singh had alleged that Rhea poisoned his son. The family's lawyer Vikas Singh had also said that there were "strangulation marks" on Sushant's neck but the forensic report has stated that there were no other marks on the body other than that of hanging.

Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik have been in judicial custody for almost a month after they were arrested in a case allegedly linked to a ‘drug angle’ in the late actor's death probe by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). On Tuesday, the Special NDPS Court extended their judicial custody till 20th October. However today, Bombay High Court granted bail to the actress along with Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant; with a few conditions. Rhea will have to pay Rs 1 lakh bond. On the other hand, Showik Chakraborty's bail has been rejected.

Addressing the media, Singh said, "The CBI should look into the conduct of the AIIMS team, they should examine who these doctors met and examine the statements that they have given in the media."

After AIIMS, CBI confirms Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide

After AIIMS final forensic report, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has confirmed that Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide. A report in Indian Express claims that the investigation claims that when the crime scene was recreated, no evidence of murder was found.  Also, the forensic audit of Sushant's bank accounts has not shown anything "suspicious" as well. The report claimed that out of Rs 70 crore worth transaction by the actor, only Rs 55 lakh were spent on Rhea Chakraborty. According to the IE report, the CBI will now focus on the catalysts that can be the reason behind the actor giving up on life which can be professional rivalry, drug abuse, nepotism in Bollywood.

The Indian Express report stated, "Chakraborty continues to be under scanner for abetment to suicide. But it is true CBI hasn’t yet found any motive for abetment. There was a forensic audit done of Rajput’s account. There is nothing concrete in the audit report to suggest that Chakraborty siphoned off funds and this led to the actor’s suicide. The expenses incurred by Rajput on her are comparatively small and can easily be explained as expenses on a friend. However, there are many angles to the suicide and our investigation is still on."
