RIP Satish Kaushik: Priyanka Chopra, Neena Gupta, Kareena Kapoor, Salman Khan & others condole demise

Bigg Boss 16 contestant and Marathi winner Shiv Thakare condoled the demise of Satish Kaushik. 

Sushmita Sen wrote, "Brilliance, goodness & that famous laughter!! Rest in Peace Sir. Satish Kaushik #duggadugga."

"The 1st time I met Satish ji was in the year ‘85, he was an Ast. director on an ad film we did together & just last week we were shooting 2gethr. A great actor, director & producer. It’s a huge loss for us & the industry.Prayers & condolences for the family, Rip #satishkaushik ji," Johny Lever tweeted.

"Always loved cared n respected him n shall alway remember him for the man that he was . May his soul rest in peace n strength to family n loved ones. .. #RIP Satish Ji," Salman Khan tweeted. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi mourned the death of veteran actor and director Satish Kaushik. In a tweet, PM Modi said, "Pained by the untimely demise of noted film personality Shri Satish Kaushik Ji. He was a creative genius who won hearts thanks to his wonderful acting and direction. His works will continue to entertain audiences. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti."

Divya Dutta wrote, "Beyond shocking to hear this terrible news!! He had the zest for life and for cinema. One of the most sensitive n lovely people .. I will terribly miss your warmth and the way u laughingly said whenevervu met me, kabhi to bura kaam kar ladki..gone too soon .RIP @satishkaushik2178 ji. You were very special..."

Javed Akhtar shared a picture with Satish from the Tuesday holiday bash. He wrote, "Satish a man full of warmth love and humour was like a brother to me since almost forty years . He was twelve years younger than me . Satish ji , it was not your turn."

Karan Johar wrote, "This is the saddest and extremely shocking news to wake up to... Such a solid actor and an immensely gracious and kind man.... RIP sir... This is a grave loss to our cinemas and fraternity..."

Satish Kaushik's post-mortem was conducted at Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital in Delhi. A senior police official said that they had received information regarding Kaushik's death from Fortis hospital in Gurugram. Actor's mortal remains will be flown to Mumbai from Delhi via air ambulance.

Neena Gupta dropped a heartfelt video paying tribute to the late actor Satish Kaushik. She said, "I woke up with a very sad news. There's only one person in the whole world who called me Nancy and I used to call him Kaushikan. Our friendship goes back to our college days, and we've shared a long association, whether we met often of no. He's no more now. It's very scary and sad. His daughter Vanshika and his wife Sashi - it's a very difficult time for them and I'm always there for them if they ever need me. May God give them the strength to deal with this loss, especially, Vanshika."

Ali Fazal shared, "Just Daybefore i met you, we played holi.. we broke bread. Now you are gone. Just like that. Too soon . This wasn’t your time sir. I dont want to say Rest, your spirit was way too evolved and infectious. It will stay with us forever. I am just sorry and gutted for the people you leave behind who have loved you so dearly. Your friends and most of all your family."

While speaking to PTI, Anupam Kher revealed that the late actor was at a friend's house in Delhi when he complained of uneasiness. While reaching the hospital with his driver, Satish Kaushik suffered a heart attack around 1 am. The Kashmir Files actor took to Twitter at 5 am earlier today and shared the bad news with fans. 

Priyanka Chopra mourns Satish Kaushik's demise. "Om shanti Satish sir. Papa and you will be talking and laughing as you always did. You will be very missed. Thank you for bringing so much laughter into our lives. Sending love, prayers and strength to the family."

Arbaaz Khan took to his Instagram and wrote, "RIP Satish ji, You will be missed... Om Shanti."

Kareena Kapoor says she's "extremely heartbroken" as actor-director Satish Kaushik passed away this morning.

Subhash Ghai took to his Instagram to post a picture featuring Satish Kaushik. In his caption, he wrote, "It’s just heart-shattering news for me that we lost our one best friend #DEAR SATISH - a man who always laughed even in worst crisis and stood by anyone in his crisis “A great artiste. Greater human being greatest friend I know. He left us so sudden so soon. I m sad. All at @whistling_woods @muktaartsltd @muktaa2cinemas Om shanti." 

Bhumi Pednekar took to her Instagram stories and wrote, "R.I.P sir. This is so heartbreaking. Your legacy lives on. My condolences to his family, friends and fans." 

Ajay Devgn tweeted that he shared laughs with Satish Kaushik on and off screen. "Woke up to the sad news of Satishji’s (Kaushik) demise. I've shared laughs with him on & off screen. His presence filled a frame. In life too, whenever we met, he brought a smile to my face. Condolences to his family. RIP Satish Ji."

Sonu Sood, highlighting the goodness of Satish Kaushik, said: "When I came to Mumbai, Satish ji was the first director I met. He was so warm and humble. Gave a few lessons of life that will always stay with me. RIP SIR. Will miss u always."

Can’t believe you are gone, wrote actor Riteish Deshmukh in his condolence message. "Your hearty laugh still rings in my ears. Thank you for being a kind and generous co-actor, thank you for being a silent teacher. You will be missed, your legacy will live on in our hearts. #SatishKaushik ji #RestInPeace," Deshmukh wrote.

Abhishek Bachchan said he is "shocked" to hear of the passing of the actor. "A most gentle, kind and loving person. Always happy and smiling. A huge loss to our industry. Rest in peace dearest Satish uncle. We will all miss you," he tweeted.

Soni Razdan said she is in disbelief about the demise of her 'Mandi' co-star Kaushik, whom she fondly remembered as a "jolly gentle soul".

“Shocked and heartbroken to hear our contemporary @satishkaushik2 is no more. Many of us met him for the first time while we were shooting Mandi. He was a jolly gentle soul always laughing. It’s very hard to believe he’s gone. RIP dear Satish we will miss you terribly,” she said.

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta remembered Kaushik as an actor, who was hungry for better characters. “Satish ji gone too soon. Don’t even know how to say that you will be missed dearly. Your hunger for better characters, your passion for stories and your love for life are irreplaceable. Our film together ‘Ek Director Ki Maut’ now is no longer a film. Om Shanti,” he wrote on Instagram.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath condoled the demise of actor Satish Kaushik. Taking to his Twitter handle, he wrote, "The demise of eminent actor and film director Mr. Satish Kaushik is extremely sad and an irreparable loss to the film world. May Lord Shri Ram give place to the departed soul in his holy feet and strength to the bereaved family members and his fans to bear this immense sorrow. Om Shanti!"

"Shocked n saddened by the news of sad demise of a talented actor, director n a wonderful human being #SatishaKaushik ji. May his soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his family n friends, Om Shanti," writes Urmila Matondkar.  

Manoj Bajpayee tweeted, "Completely shocked to read this ! What a great loss for all of us and his family! Condolences to his family & friends!May you rest in peace Satish Bhai !"

Renuka Shahane also expressed shock and wrote: "I am so shocked to hear that Satish Kaushikji is no more. Just yesterday he had shared some lovely photographs of Holi and today one hears of his sad demise. Life is so unpredictable, May his soul rest in eternal peace."

Actor Aniruddh Dave wrote, "Aaj Mera mentor, mumbai ka mera support system chala gaya.. my only loving ,fatherly figure @satishkaushik2  I'll miss u forever. Om shanti #satishkaushik sir RIP."

Kangana Ranaut too took to her Twitter handle and wrote, "Woke up to this horrible news, he was my biggest cheerleader, a very successful actor and director #SatishKaushik ji personally was also a very kind and genuine man, I loved directing him in Emergency. He will be missed, Om Shanti."
