Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is awaiting the release of his next film 'Animal', recently surprised his fans by interacting with them on social media. During this, he confirmed that he is taking an extended break from acting to spend quality time with his daughter, Raha. While Ranbir takes on the role of a doting father, his wife and actress Alia Bhatt, will be shooting for her upcoming film, 'Jigra'. For the unversed, Raha was born on November 6, 2022, just a few months after the couple tied the knot in April 2022.
Ranbir Kapoor to take 6-month break
During the virtual chat with fans, Ranbir shared that he won't be committing to any new film projects after 'Animal.' His main focus now is dedicating time to Raha, whom he missed out on spending time with during her initial months due to his busy work schedule. Ranbir expressed his intention to take a much-needed paternity leave and has now successfully done so. He plans to be at home for the next 5-6 months, relishing every moment with his daughter.
Ranbir Kapoor happily described that Raha is now crawling, recognising people, and expressing love. She's even attempting to say words like "Pa" and "Ma." The actor spoke emotionally about this beautiful phase of fatherhood, expressing, "She is crawling. She is recognising. She is giving so much love, and she is trying to speak words like Pa and Ma. It’s a beautiful time to be around her, and I am going to cherish this forever."

Ranbir Kapoor, who enjoys a massive fan following, made his acting debut in Bollywood with the film 'Saawariya' in 2007, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Although the film didn't perform well at the box office, Ranbir's performance was praised. Despite a relatively modest start, Ranbir Kapoor quickly rose to prominence with his acting prowess. The movie is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 1. In the film, Anil Kapoor takes on the role of Ranbir's on-screen father, Balbir Singh. Rashmika is cast as Geetanjali, the love interest of Ranbir's character while Bobby Deol will be playing the antagonist.
