Happy Teachers' Day 2020: Bollywood celebrities remember their teachers and extend warm wishes to fans

Shraddha opened up about her yoga experience on the occasion of Teacher's Day on Saturday, while thanking her yoga guru Nishtha Bijlani. "Started yoga with @nishtabijlani on 25th of June and it has been a magical and life changing journey," the actress wrote on Instagram along with photos that give a glimpse from her yoga routine. "We have been practicing Kriyas (internal cleansing techniques), aasanas (hatha yoga), restorative yoga (rested with props), pranayama and guided relaxation/ shavasana," she added.

Hrithik Roshan shared a post on Instagram that read, "A big thank you to all my teachers that have been, are and will be. What would the world be without good teachers ?"

Actress Alaya F has shared a few insights about her teachers and the learnings she imbibed from them on the occasion of Teachers' Day on Saturday. "I think the most important thing that I learned from them (teachers) was just that if you really, really want to do something, nothing is impossible. Like, if you just work hard enough and put in the hours and put in the effort and just do everything over and over and over again until you get the outcome you want, everything is possible," said Alaya.

"And, you know, they really put in a lot of hours and a lot of effort into me. And I put in a lot of hours and a lot of effort into them and classes and, you know, all of that. And I think together it just became a very, very positive, healthy learning environment," she added.

Remembering the special bond she shared with her teacher, Manushi Chhillar said: "As I grew older and left for senior school, I remember I used to meet her once a year during our annual day and she would come with her squad of girls from the junior school to senior school. I would always touch her feet (till date whenever I get a chance to meet her I do so), but she would never let me finish my namaskar and would hug me."

"I share a special bond with Ms Bose and she is one of one of my most special teachers. I remember that when we were finishing class XII, we had our candle light ceremony and everyone was quite emotional. The only teacher I kept thinking about was her because she had seen me grow and always encouraged and pushed me to give my best. I hugged her and I think both of us ended up crying and both of us knew we would miss working with each other," Manushi recalled, adding that she met her teacher again when she won the Miss India title.

Bhumi opened up on the subject on the occasion of Teacher's Day on Saturday. She paid a tribute to nature along with all her teachers.

"On Teachers Day every year I pay tribute to each and every teacher of mine who has contributed immensely in my life. But this year along with those brilliant and selfless minds I have to mention that nature has been my biggest teacher and has given me great life lessons," said Bhumi, who is an environment activist.

Bhumi added that she learned to be "humble, nurturing, and compassionate from nature."

She said: "Her maternal love for all the millions of species she provides for, has taught me selflessness. I have learnt to value nature and understood that we humans are very small in front of her wrath."

Talking about his biggest teacher in life, actor Boman Irani told HT, "It could be a kid you could get a lot of wisdom from. Especially when I go abroad and sit in taxis, I get wisdom from taxi drivers. They are dying to talk, they meet so many people every day, listening to radio all the time so know politics as well, about human behaviour, as they are psychologically strong."
