The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has finally taken over Sushant Singh Rajput's death case after Supreme Court's verdict on Wednesday. The apex court said that the FIR registered at Patna was correct. TIt also stated that any other FIR registered in connection with the late actor's death will also be investigated by the CBI. Sushant's family has been demanding CBI probe in the actor's mysterious suicide for many days. They had also organized a global prayer meet to seek justice for Sushant.
Reacting to the verdict, Sushant's family lawyer Vikas Singh said, "We hope that we should get justice very soon. The family is very happy with the verdict. This is a victory for Sushant Singh Rajput's family. SC ruled on all points in our favour. The Court also clearly said that the FIR registered at Patna was correct"
As the verdict came in family favor, the actor's sister Shweta Singh Kirti took to Twitter and wrote, "Thank you God! You have answered our prayers!! But it is just the beginning... the first step towards the truth! Full faith on CBI!! #Victoryoffaith #GlobalPrayersForSSR #Wearefamily #CBITakesOver" In another tweet, she wrote, "There we go!! Finally!! CBI for SSR!! #CBITakesOver"
Sushant's ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande also lauded the verdict and tweeted, "Justice is the truth in action...Truth wins .... #1ststeptossrjustice" Sushant's Raabta co-star Kriti Sanon also wrote, "Last 2months have been extremely restless with everything being so blurry. Supreme Court’s order to let the CBI investigate Sushant’s case is a ray of hope that the truth will finally shine.. Lets all have faith, stop speculating & let the CBI do their work now!"

Urging people to stop speculating and let the CBI do their work, she added, "Let's all have faith, stop speculating & let the CBI do their work now! #CBIForSSR."
"Justice is finally a step closer #CBITakesOver #CBIforSSR,' tweeted Isha Koppikar as she lauded the decision by the Supreme Court.
Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, too, welcomed the decision by Supreme Court and wrote on Twitter, "Welcome Judgement by the Hon. Supreme Court of India on the #SushanthSinghRajput case. Hope justice prevails. #CBIForSSR #JusticeforSushantSingRajput."
Bollywood actors like Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher also hailed the Supreme Court's verdict of CBI taking over Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. Kher tweeted, "The ball is in the court... literally !!! #CBIForSSR" Akshay Kumar wrote, "SC directs CBI to investigate Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. May the truth always prevail"
Terming the Supreme Court verdict as the "ray of sunshine," Chhabra took to Twitter and wished for the truth to prevail. "We can finally see a ray of sunshine. The truth will prevail. Waheguru," he tweeted and added the trending hashtag -- #CBIForSSR.
Sanjana Sanghi took to her Instagram stories and described the two-month-long period, after Rajput's demise as "treacherously painful." "A treacherously painful 2 months later, finally - the judgement of justice. #GlobalPrayers4SSR. TRUTH IS MIGHTY AND Will PREVAIL," she wrote in the story. Sanjana wished for the "peace" of the actor's family for the path towards the truth. "All the strength, peace & love to you for the path towards the truth that lies ahead @shwetasinghkirti & the entire family," she wrote.
