After Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her eight-year-old daughter Aaradhya have also tested positive for COVID-19. Jaya Bachchan, her daughter Shweta Nanda and her kids have been tested negative. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope tweeted about the same and wrote, "Smt.Aishwarya Rai Bacchan & Daughter Aaradhya Abhishek Bacchan have also been detected positive for Covid19. Smt. Jaya Bachhan ji is tested negative for covid19. We wish the Bacchan Family to get well soon with a speedy recovery." After the two actors turned positive, the COVID-19 antigen test reports of Jaya Bachchan, her daughter-in-law Aishwarya and granddaughter Aaradhya was conducted which came negative. However, the fresh reports state that the mother-duo daughter is now infected with the virus.
To date, four members of the Bachchan family have tested positive while the ones who are negative include Jaya Bachchan, Shweta, Agastya Nanda, and Navya Naveli Nanda. Amitabh and Abhishek's health is stable. Both of them are comfortable and feeling better. They are accepting the general blood chemistries with stable vitals. Both slept well and had their breakfasts. Meanwhile, the Bachchan residence is now a containment zone and all their properties have now been sealed by BMC.

Both Aishwarya and Aaradhya are at their Jalsa house. While Big B stayed inside the house all this while, Abhishek was spotted outside the house at a dubbing studio where he was working at his recently released web series 'Breathe: Into The Shadows.'
On Saturday night, Big B had tweeted:"T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!"
Soon after Bachchan's tweet, his son Abhishek tweeted to confirm that he too had tested COVID positive. He wrote, "Yesterday, both my father and I tested positive for COVID-19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. The BMC has been in touch and we are complying with them. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you."
