Ayan Mukerji's fantasy drama "Brahmastra" has long been in the making. The movie was earlier supposed to release this year but was pushed to 2020 with an extended shooting schedule. A trilogy produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, it features Alia Bhatt, along with Ranbir Kapoor and megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

When asked about the incessant delay in the process, Alia Bhatt said it was a "different" kind of project.

"Good things take time," Alia told reporters.

The movie will see Ranbir playing a character with special powers.

The first part of the sci-fi trilogy is scheduled to release in the summer of 2020, and also features South star Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy.

The actors, including Alia, Ranbir, Amitabh Bachchan, and Mouni Roy, are currently shooting for the film in the cold weather of Manali.
