From co-writing movies like 'Sholay' and 'Deewaar' to independently giving Indian cinema gems of lyrics in songs 'Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum,' 'Dil Dhadakne Do' and others, legendary poet Javed Akhtar is a force to reckon with. He has to his credit a legacy of brilliance that can only be matched by a few.
And besides his stories and songs, his children Zoya and Farhan Akhtar only add to his long list of gifts he has bestowed the Hindi film industry with.
The living legend turned 75 on Friday, but he says he doesn't feel that.
"As a matter of fact, 75 is a very old age in my mind. So, for me, to believe that I’m 75 is tough because I don’t feel that. My body tells me, ‘Listen buddy, you’re no longer young’, but otherwise, my involvement with life, my curiosity, interests, fantasies, aspirations and ambitions are intact. I’m totally involved with life, and don’t feel like a retired, tired person at all," Javed Akhtar said, in an interview.
