Ayushmann Khurrana is raising the bar for himself with his every film. His name has become synonymous to offbeat movies. Whether it is his debut film Vicky Donor, Dum Laga Ke Haisha or Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Ayushmann has never failed to impress us. Even his upcoming films such as Dream Girl, Article 15 and Bala delve deep into less-talked about subjects.
The actor is currently shooting for Anubhav Sinha's Article 15 in Uttar Pradesh. For unversed, Article 15 of the Indian Constitution prohibits discrimination by the state against any citizen on the basis of religion, race, caste, sex and place of birth. Today, the actor took to Instagram to tell an interesting story from the sets of Article 15. During one of the scenes, he along with other actors had to enter into a swamp. Wait, there is something more! During the middle of the shoot, the team realised that the swamp was full of leeches.
Sharing a photo of the team, Ayushmann wrote, ''Today was a true test of my love for my craft. We are in the middle of shooting Article 15, being directed by the super talented Anubhav Sinha. Yesterday, we had a challenging day - a shot required us to enter into a swamp and do a gripping scene. We realised that the swamp was filled with leeches only when we were in the middle of the shot! I would like to salute my brave team of investigating officers (it’s an honour to act with these talented actors) for finishing the scene despite a vicious leech attack! Anubhav Sinha hum aapke liye khoon bahane ko tayaar hain.”
As per Anubhav, Article 15 is an “investigative drama where the audience too is an accused party”. The film also features Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub in prominent roles.
Earlier this month, Ayushmann shared his look from the movie. In the first look of the film, Ayushmann is standing by the side of a police jeep with few papers in his hand. His moustachioed look has won many hearts. On a related note, last year director Anubhav Sinha delivered a solid hard-hitting social drama Mulk.
