Actress Ayesha Takia, her sister-in-law and mother-in-law have been allegedly harassed with threatening messages. The actress’ husband Farhan Azmi addressed Mumbai police in a series of tweets accusing a senior official of dodging his phone calls and blocking Ayesha’s account. He also informed that it is being done by a litigant in an ongoing case. Kashif Khan, Farhan’s business partner has accused him of cheating in an FIR lodged with Bandra Police.
Farhan took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “My wife @Ayeshatakia, mother & sisters are being harassed, threatened stalked by a litigant, @MumbaiPolice #dcpDahiya refusing to answer my calls or messages. #DahiyaIPS has illegally frozen our bank accounts Dear PM @narendramodi ji @SushmaSwaraj Pls intervene!! #betibachao.”
A source close to the family told timesnownews.com that the litigant got Ayesha’s number and has been messaging her telling she and her husband will be in jail very soon. He has also threatened Farhan’s sister who is seven-months pregnant.
Later, Farhan informed that he received a call from the Joint Commissioner of police and also thanked him for helping him.
He wrote, “Thank you @DevenBhartiIPS Ji #MumbaiPolice for stepping in. I trust the Mumbai Police. 3 rotten apples cannot spoil #theappletree@CPMumbaiPolice @MumbaiPolice.”
