Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, fondly referred to as Virushka by their fans and followers, sent the internet into a frenzy on Wednesday night with their cute PDA at an event. Anushka accompanied Virat as the duo attended a ceremony in New Delhi organised in the memory of late politician and BJP leader Arun Jaitley.
At the mention of his late father, when Kohli couldn't help but shed a tear, Anushka consoled her husband, held his hand firmly and kissed it. The moment was caught on camera and went viral in no time.
The video then shows the two exchanging a few words too.
At the said event, DDCA president and editor-in-chief and chairman of India TV, Rajat Sharma, recalled an incident wherein Jaitley had visited Virat's home in Delhi, after his father's demise.
At the time, Virat was in the under-19 team. Virat had a match to play and
Rajat Sharma shared how Virat went ahead to play the under-19 match he was scheduled to -- despite the grief.
Jaitley had then praised the cricketer and said he was sure Virat would become a big name in the world of Cricket.
The event was organised for renaming the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in New Delhi to the Arun Jaitley stadium.
Former finance minister Arun Jaitley had also been the president of the District Cricket Association (DDCA) as well as the vice-president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
