Vicky Kaushal is currently basking in the rave reviews of his last performances. The ride of success for Vicky that began with Raazi and Sanju doesn't seem to stop anytime soon. This year, Vicky made his solo-hero debut with Uri: The Surgical Strike, which went on to be a blockbuster. Now, recently the actor revealed that he was a part of Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree as well. Yes, you read that right. The movie which was one of the critically-acclaimed and commercially successful films of 2018 was originally offered to Vicky Kaushal. However, we don't know which role he was offered. Amar Kaushik's directorial debut Stree had Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles.
Vicky recently appeared on Neha Dhupia's BFFs With Vogue along with Taapsee Pannu, where both the actors revealed interesting details about themselves. We already saw their crackling camaraderie in Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan and in the show too, they were all fun to watch.
When Vicky was asked to name a film which he rejected and then it went on to become a hit, the actor instantly replied, ''Stree''. When he was further asked which role was offered to him, Taapsee said, ''Shraddha's''. This left everyone in split.
Makers of Stree have started working on its sequel. Stree 2 will probably go on floors next year. A source told PTI, "It will happen next year. We are working on the script. There are few ideas for Stree 2. The expectations are high, so the team wants to give their best shot as we are not in a hurry to make it," the source said. "The core cast of Stree will be returning for the sequel,'' the source added.
On a related note, Vicky will soon be seen playing freedom fighter Udham Singh in Shoojit Sircar's directorial. He will also essay a historical part in Karan Johar's Takht. Meanwhile, his untitled horror film is expected to release soon.
