Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 is about to start. This year IPL is scheduled to begin from April 7. The opening ceremony of this editions of IPL is going to be a starry one as bevy of Bollywood celebrities are roped in to perform at the opening night.
Celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Parineeti Chopra will be performing at the IPL opening night.
And according to a source, October star Varun will be the highest celebrity for performing at opening night of IPL. A source revealed, “Recently, there were reports that Ranveer has been given around Rs 5 crore for his IPL act. But the organisers have paid Varun much more and he’s the highest paid of the lot this year. His fee is somewhere close to Rs 6 crore, although the exact figure isn’t known.”
The source stating the reason for Varun’s highest payment said, ‘’Varun has a great connect with the masses and among all the actors from the younger generation, he has the maximum number of chartbusters in his kitty. He will be dancing to his recent hits from Badrinath Ki Dulhaniaand Judwaa 2, as well as other films. Jacqueline and he might also perform a few songs together.”
Meanwhile a source close to Varun revealed, ‘’He has taken two days off from the schedule to rehearse for his IPL performance.”
On work front Varun is busy in the promotions of Banita Sandhu starrer October and is also shooting for Sui Dhaaga featuring Anushka Sharma.
