Karan Johar and Farhan Khan are living the nostalgia on the social media. On Friday, KJo’s much-debate film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna clocked 12 years in the Indian cinema. On the special day, the Takh filmmaker shared a poster of the film that features its lead cast Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan. Farah Khan remembered the film in a rather hilarious manner. She shared a throwback picture of herself with Karan Johar in which they are striking an utter awkward pose.
Sharing the picture, she wrote, “Mother of all throwbacks!! what were we doing?? #kank shoot.. thank god didnt make @iamsrk n rani do this in the song.. @karanjohar to many more crazy shoots.”
We’re also thankful that Karan Johar and Farah Khan didn’t make SRK and Rani Mukerji do the same pose.
“A film that will always remain special to me! Had polarised responses but is discussed and probably understood better today! My dream cast @bachchan @iamsrk @amitabhbachchan @realpz #Rani,” wrote Karan Johar while sharing the picture.
Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna is a 2006 film which dealt with sensitive issue of adultery. It was a successful film in the United States, however, it received flak in its own homeland. The film received positive reviews from the critics but the Indian audience debated on how Karan Johar portrayed extra-marital affairs in the film. In Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji played the role of two married people who fell in love with each other outside their marriage. They subsequently left their respective partners to unite with each other.
On the work front, Karan Johar has just announced his next ambitious project Takht which has an ensemble cast of Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.
