Tanushree Dutta's sister Ishita Dutta supporting her said that she is trying to set an example.
Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta has been making headlines due to her accusations against Nana Patekar for harassing her during the shoot of the film Horn Ok Please in 2010. Tanushree in an exclusive interview with India TV revealed that Nana Patekar misbehaved with her on the sets of Horn Ok Please eight years back. She said that when the incident took place, she even elaborated the complete issue to the director and producers of the film, but nobody came for her support.
Tanushree revealed that she was even warned to be thrown out of the film industry if she dared to speak up. In the interview, the Aashiq Banaya Aapne actress even blamed the Raj Thackeray government for supporting Nana Patekar and threatening her. Tanushree, who recently came back from the US elaborated her ordeal to media in series of interviews.
Tanushree’s sister Ishita Dutta also came in support of her and said that she is trying to set an example. In an interview with Bollywoodlife.com, Ishita opened up about the incident. She was quoted saying, "What she is trying to achieve is that she is trying to set an example. If something like this happens, it is not your fault. You should not shy away from it. And speak about it."
Ishita added, "I still remember, I was at home and I saw the video; people jumping on the car, banging the glass, the horrified and terrified face of my sister and family. I was so scared because I wasn’t there with them. I didn’t know what to do. That memory will never go away."
Many Bollywood stars including Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Richa Chadha, Twinkle Khanna, Raveena Tandon, Swara Bhasker stood up in support of Tanushree.

Meanwhile, Nana Patekar in an interview with Mirror Now, called Tanushree’s allegations false and said, "What can I say why she is saying it? How do I know why she is saying this? What does she mean by sexual harassment? There were 50-100 people on the set with me." "I'll take legal action against her. But it is waste telling media about it because you will play up anything. Whatever people want to say, they can say. But I will continue doing my work."
Notably, Tanushree’s in an interview with DNA also claimed that filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri during the shooting of Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets in 2005 allegedly asked her to strip and dance without any warning. Meanwhile, she praised her co-stars Suniel Shetty and Irrfan Khan for taking her side during the incident.

In her interview with DNA, Tanushree said, “Vivek Agnihotri asked me to give cues to my co-star Irrfan Khan. It was Irrfan's close-up shot and not mine. I was not even part of that shot. In his close-up shot, Irrfan was supposed to look at something and give expressions. This director, he told me ‘jao jaake kapde utaar ke naacho, usko cues do (go strip and dance, give (Irrfan) cues’.”
