Veere Di Wedding actress Swara Bhasker has finally reacted on the buzz around her Twitter account. The actress said that she is on a digital detox. For unversed, the actress's verified Twitter account with the handle, @ReallySwara has mysteriously vanished from the micro-blogging site.
Swara said she is currently holidaying in Europe and will be back on Twitter when she returns home. "I deactivated it. Digital detox. (I) will be back when I return to India next week," she said. "I wasn't being able to enjoy my holiday and was all the time tracking what's happening in India. I just felt I'm getting addicted to Twitter," she added.
According to reports, the 30-year-old actor, who is a vocal critic of the central government went off the micro-blogging site due to incessant trolling on her posts. But the actor refuted the claims, saying "All other reasons being ascribed are mere speculation and gossip!". Swara, however, is still active on other social media platforms - Facebook and Instagram.
Recently, when the actress made a remark on Una flogging case, it was misinterpreted. Twitterati thought that her tweet was aimed at Indian army for Kashmir's human shield incident. For those living under a rock, a debate got triggered by a remark from Sadhguru, who said, ''Today, in the world, people who claim to be liberals are actually fanatics.’
Referring to the 2016 Una case where seven members of a Dalit family were tied to a jeep and thereafter beaten with rods for skinning a dead cow, Swara wrote, “Some assholes with big caste pride, tied men to a jeep, flogged them publicly and recorded it ; #ButLiberalsAreFanatics #SadhguruSays”
