Looking at his social media posts, he is expected to ring in his 32nd birthday in the Chambal valley with his team. The film stars Bhumi Pednekar, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana. While the chocolate boy of Bollywood is busy shooting for his upcoming, let’s have a look at the inspiration journey of this Patna boy, who carved a niche for himself in the showbiz industry.
Sushant Singh Rajput secured admission in Delhi College of Engineering, which is one of the most reputed Engineering colleges of India. He was also a National Olympiad Winner in Physics. You’ll go green with jealously to know that this handsome dude managed to clear as many as 11 engineering entrance exams!
But Sushant knew he had his calling elsewhere. Completing only three years in college, he dropped out of engineering to pursue a career in acting. Honestly, how many of us have the guts to take a risk as big as this?
The idea of acting struck Sushant Singh Rajput’s mind when he enrolled in Shiamak Davar’s dance classes. Sushant moved to Mumbai to follow his dreams. He joined Nadira Babbar’s Ekjute theatre group and acted there for two and a half years. During this time, he got a break in TV advert Nestle Munch.
It was in 2008 that his life took a pleasant turn. He was spotted by the casting team of Balaji Telefilms. He was invited for an audition and impressed by his skills, the makers handed him the role of Preet Juneja in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. But his character died pretty early in the show. Owing to his popularity, his character was revived in the series finale in the form of a spirit.
In 2009 Sushant Singh Rajput bagged the titular role of Manav Deshmukh in Pavitra Rishta. It was in this serial, he found his former lady love Ankita Lokhande. He also participated in a dance reality show Zara Nachke Dikha 2. And for the uninitiated, he managed to shoot for both, Zara Nachke Dikha 2 and Pavitra Rishta at the same time!
