On February 24, 2018, the world was shocked when it was confirmed that veteran actress Sridevi had passed away. It’s been almost three months since Sridevi’s demise but theories and speculations surrounding the tragic death continue. From an alleged Dawood Ibrahim involvement to Rs 240 crore insurance, various reports say that Sridevi demise wasn’t a natural death but a “planned murder”. These reports are insensitive about the feelings of the actress's family and loved ones who feel the loss every day.
Dawood Ibrahim's involvement?
Really? Some media reports say that Retired ACP Ved Bhushan's opinion is that her death is a ‘planned murder’ and has alleged that underworld don Dawood Ibrahim may be involved in it. In order to clear his doubts, he reportedly even stayed in the same hotel, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai with his private investigation agency for a night. The hotel, too, is apparently owned by Dawood Ibrahim. He is now reportedly planning to file an appeal in the Supreme Court on this investigation so that the death of Sridevi can be re-examined.
Rs 240 crore insurance?
Another claim is from filmmaker Sunil Singh, who said that Sridevi was murdered. He had moved the Supreme Court demanding a thorough investigation into the demise of the Bollywood's fermale superstar. The apex court however, dismissed his demand of any further probe.

A bench comprising Chief Justice Dipak Misra, Justice A.M. Khanwilkar and Justice D.Y.Chandrachud rejected the plea even as senior counsel Vikas Singh raised questions on how could a 5.7 foot tall person drown in a 5.1 foot bathtub.
According to Singh's lawyer, Vikas Singh, an insurance policy worth Rs 240 crore was bought in Sridevi's name in Oman. The reason to suspect Sridevi’s death is not the policy but a clause which says the amount could have been encashed only if the actress had died in Dubai.
Sridevi died due to "accidental drowning" in a bathtub in a Dubai hotel, according to the post-mortem report. The Mom actress was there to attend cousin Mohit Marwah's wedding.
Sridevi's untimely demise left her fans in a state of shock as the entire nation mourned her death. The void created by her loss will never be filled again.
