Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are all set to tie the knot on May 8 and the celebrations began last night. Mehendi ceremony took place which was graced by many Bollywood celebrities like dear friends Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar. Sonam was looking resplendent in Anuradha Vakil lehenga, she was beaming with joy. Anand complimented her very well in a pink bandgala. The videos from the event are doing the rounds on social media in which Sonam can be seen dancing her heart out with her husband-to-be.
Not only Sonam, her sister Rhea Kapoor and father Anil Kapoor also grooved to the tunes of some popular tracks. The pics indicate that Anand and Sonam are head over heels in love.
Sonam’s cousins Janhvi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Mohit Marwah left no stone unturned to make the day special for the lady.
The sangeet ceremony is going to take place today and many stars are expected to perform at the event.
After months of speculations, Kapoor and Ahuja family released a joint statement confirming the wedding. It reads, ““The Kapoor and Ahuja families take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the May 8 in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
On the professional front, Sonam will next be seen in Veere Di Wedding alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Swara Bhaskar. The movie is all set to hit the screens on June 1.
