Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre shocked the nation recently when she revealed that she is suffering from cancer. Sonali Bendre is currently being treated for it in New York, the 43-year-old actress revealed on social media on Wednesday. In the lengthy post she shared, Sonali Bendre said about 'taking this battle head on' and also described the diagnosis as 'unexpected.' "Sometimes, when you least expect it, life throws you a curveball. I have recently been diagnosed with a high-grade cancer that has metastised, which we frankly did not see coming," read an excerpt from the actress' post.

Recently, Hate Story 4 actress Ihana Dhillon said that actress Sonali Bendre, who is battling cancer, will soon bounce back. During a media interaction on Sunday, Ihana said: "I grew up watching her (Sonali). I feel bad that she is suffering from cancer, says Ihana Dhillon I am sure she will bounce back and come out of it. She is a fighter and a strong woman. All my prayers and best wishes are with Sonali."
