Bollywood popular villain Shakti Kapoor turned a year older on Monday and daughter Shraddha Kapoor and family marked Shakti's 68th birthday yesterday with a surprise lunch. The birthday celebrations also saw veteran singer Asha Bhosle in attendance.
Shraddha's brother Siddhant Kapoor told Mid-day that the family gathered at a Juhu hotel to enjoy a noon of celebration. "Shraddha and I brought many cakes for dad. Shraddha ordered for a special 'Crime Master Gogo' cake for him. He was thrilled."

Shakti Kapoor’s wife Shivangi had planned an impromptu birthday lunch at a suburban five- star after which Shraddha flew off to Hyderabad for the shoot of her Prabhas-starrer Saaho.

“Before she turned up for the luncheon, Asha ji sent a voice recording of her singing “Tum Jiyo Hazaaron Saal” which made him beam,” informs a source close to the family.
Another big thrill was the message ‘Happy birthday Crime Master Gogo’ written in chocolate on one of the cakes. It brought back fond memories of his iconic character from Rajkumar Santoshi’s laugh riot, Andaz Apna Apna, also featuring the two Khans, Aamir and Salman.
Meanwhile, Shraddha Kapoor had a heartfelt wish for her father. Shraddha Kapoor posted a super cute picture with her daddy on Instagram and wished him as she wrote, “My baapu’s birthday…@shaktikapoor.”
On the work front, Shraddha Kapoor has a lot of movies in the pipeline. Besides promoting Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Shraddha Kapoor is also busy shooting for her Hindi-Telugu bilingual, Saaho opposite Baahubali star Prabhas. Talking about her co-star, Shraddha described him as one of the simplest people she has ever met. Shraddha said, “It’s such a beautiful thing for someone who is such a huge star and it’s their simplicity and that they are so ‘real’ that sets both Prabhas and Rajkummar Rao, apart from the rest.”
