Relationship rumours are more of a daily affair in Bollywood. Two actors working together for multiple films often give birth to such reports. Similarly, Shilpa Shetty and Salman Khan worked together in many films including Auzaar, Garv: Pride and Honor, Phir Milenge and Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar. During the shooting of these many films, Salman and Shilpa shared great camaraderie with each other. In fact, they became very close friends back then.
Years ago, rumour mills were churning that Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty were dating each other. Although, none of them addressed these rumours back then, but now the actress finally broke her silence on the dating rumours with Khan. She refuted the rumours saying that they were only good friends.
While talking to a leading entertainment daily, Shilpa cleared the air that she shared nothing more than friendship with Salman. She even told that the actor would come to her house at midnight and have a drink or two with her father.
She also added, “We didn’t go out on a date as such. In those days, actors shared a great camaraderie.”
Talking about Salman Khan, she said, “Salman is a very humble, loving and grounded human being. I remember, he would come to my house even at midnight sometimes, and by that time I’d already be asleep. Then Salman and my dad would sit down and drink a few pegs together. I remember, when my dad passed away, Salman came home, went straight to the bar table, laid his head down on it and cried.”
Shilpa Shetty got hitched to businessman Raj Kundra in November, 2009. She is a proud mother of her adorable munchkin Viaan Kundra.
