At a time when Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's love saga has kept Bollywood fans entertained, another B-Town romance is brewing. Word on the street is that Farhan Akhtar is dating Shibani Dandekar. Farhan and Shibani met on the sets of 2015 show I Can Do That, which was hosted by Farhan Akhtar. Shibani Dandekar was a participant on the show along with VJ Bani, Bharti Singh and Gurmeet Choudhary.
In a conversation with Mid-Day, she was asked about the speculations. She said, “I don't need to make an announcement about who I'm dating. It's up to me to decide when and what I want to share about my personal life, and it is up to the audience to decide how they look at it. How much information I want to put out in the public domain is my prerogative."
After keeping fans and media guessing for long, Farhan confirmed his relationship with Shibani by posting a picture with her social media a few weeks back.
This announcement came soon after Shibani supported Farhan in the Twitter war where people started blaming him after #MeToo allegations surfaced against his cousin Sajid Khan. Actress Amrita Puri also condemned Sajid's family and wondered how none of them knew about his predatory behaviour when it was an open secret in the industry.
Earlier, Farhan Akhtar posted an adorable picture of Shibani Dandekar wishing her on her birthday. While other Bollywood celebs were celebrating Neha Dhupia’s 38th birthday last night, Farhan took to his social media to dedicate a post to rumoured girlfriend Shibani. To spice it further, he loaded the picture of Shibani smiling and eating dessert with kiss emojis.
