Reliance Industries honcho Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani threw a lavish bash for their son Akash and his fiancée Shloka Mehta. The lovely couple are all set to tie the knot in December. Earlier, Akash proposed to his schoolmate in an intimate ceremony in Goa.

Many Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, her daughter Aaradhya, Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar, John Abraham and Kiran Rao attended the party and several others are expected to join soon. Celebs were spotted outside the venue. Akash and Shloka also posed happily for shutterbugs. While Shah Rukh looked dashing in black suit, John opted for a casual avatar. Aishwarya, too looked sultry in a black gown, while her daughter Aaradhya was glowing in pink. Katrina Kaif was all smiles as she made her way to the venue. Filmmakers Karan Johar and Kiran Rao also came to bless the couple.Among sports fraternity, Harbhajan Singh made a smashing entry, while Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge looked amazing as a couple. Earlier, the entire Ambani family visited Siddhivinayak temple to seek blessings of Bappa. Nita Ambani was spotted holding her daughter-in-law's hand.For unversed, Akash Ambani, 25, is the elder son of Nita and Mukesh Ambani, Shloka Mehta is the youngest daughter of Mona and Russell Mehta, who run Rosy Blue Diamonds, one of the world's largest diamond trading companies.

Akash and Shloka studied together at Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS). While Akash went to Brown University, a private Ivy League institution based in Rhode Island for further studies, Shloka studied anthropology at Princeton University and later completed her Masters in Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Shloka is now a director with Rosy Blue Foundation and co-founder of ConnectFor, an organisation that helps NGOs get volunteers for various causes. Akash, on the other hand, is currently on the board of Reliance Jio.
