Sara Ali Khan’s debut film Kedarnath has become the favourite child of controversies and court cases. It was not long that the film came out of a legal battle that it is reported that the producers of the film have sued their lead actress Sara Ali Khan for reassigning her Kedarnath shooting dates to Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film Simmba.

According to a report in TOI, Guy In The Sky Productions Pvt Ltd., owned by Abhishek Kapoor, has filed a case against Sara, and her talent management company and demanded Rs. 5 crore as damages saying that earlier Sara agreed to be available for the shoot but now she has retracted. Reportedly Sara is supposed to shoot for Kedarnath from May to July but she has committed her dates in June to Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar's Simmba, opposite Ranveer Singh.

This is no news that Kedarnath was on a hold for weeks after Abhishek Kapoor's company and former co-producer KriArj Entertainment got into a legal dispute regarding the film's funding. It was not until April after Ronnie Screwvala coming on board as a Producer that the movie got back in the game.

Voicing out their support in favour of Sara Ali Khan, trade analyst Atul Mohan stated that it was a fair move on Sara Ali Khan’s part. He told Hindustan Times: "When the makers of Kedarnath were not able to fulfil their commitment and complete the film on time, it's only fair on an actor's part to not waste time and give those dates to another film. The new producer (for Kedarnath) came on board only recently, but if that didn't happen, the film would've been delayed for another few months."

Producer Amul Vikas Mohan also backed Atul Mohan and told HT, "With Kedarnath, there was a big ambiguity among everyone, including the ones who are now suing Sara, about the fate of their own film... you can't expect a young new actress to hold on to it forever. Her career is at stake and she needs the right push."

Earlier this month it was announced that Kedarnath will release in November, a month before Simmba
