Sara Ali Khan on mother Amrita Singh: She's the only person I fear
Sara Ali Khan has always maintained that she loves her mother Amrita Singh the most. Check out the reason why the actress fears her mother the most.
Sara Ali Khan has managed to mark her place in Bollywood with just two films. The actress made sure everyone notice that she is here to win hearts with her acting skills and not a result of nepotism. Ever since her debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s film Kedarnath, Sara Ali Khan has become the first choice of filmmakers. Recently, the diva featured on the cover page of popular magazine Harper’s Bazaar and spilled many interesting details about her personal and professional life.
Sara Ali Khan has always maintained that she loves her mother Amrita Singh the most. While talking to the magazine about her mother, the actress revealed, "I intend to live with my mother for the rest of my life. She gets upset when I say that because she has this whole marriage plan for me, but she can also come with me no, what's the problem?" While she loves spending time with Amrita, she is also scared of her. "I love hanging out with her, and I miss her when she's away even for a few days. There's nothing I hide from her. But having said that, she's the only person I fear," Sara said.
Sara also opened up about nepotism and stated that she has done her bit to prove that she has skills that deserve to stay in the industry. She said, "From what I see, I’ve done my bit to prove that I may have what it takes. And I’ve managed, somewhat successfully, to disassociate from that word. If you can be appreciated for your work then none of this matters. I am immensely proud and grateful that I am their daughter, but I am on my way to establish an identity wherein there’s more to me. And this is just the beginning. I have a long, long, long way to go."
On the professional front, Sara Ali Khan will be seen in Imtiaz Ali's next film which is a sequel to his critically acclaimed Love Aaj Kal. She is paired opposite Kartik Aaryan in the film. The actress will also be seen in Coolie No. 1 remake alongside actor Varun Dhawan. Their film will release on May 1, 2020.
