Superstar Salman Khan, who has turned distributor for his upcoming film Race 3, is planning to start his own theatre chain, Salman talkies. If reports are to be believed, the theatres will have subsidised and tax-free tickets. Not only this, children from underprivileged backgrounds will get free tickets. The actor revealed that the project took longer than expected time because he is working out the logistics. The main motive of his theatre chain is to increase footfalls in small regions.
In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, Salman said, “I had a lot of plans for the theatre chain but it's taking me longer because I need to be very careful. There are a lot of logistical details involved so that the project doesn't shut down. But let me clarify, the theatres will not be in Bandra or Juhu, but on the outskirts of Mumbai.”
On the professional front, the superstar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Race 3. The movie directed by Remo D'Souza also features Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Jacqueline Fernandez and Bobby Deol is all set to hit the screens on June 15. Salman has also signed Bharat alongside Priyanka Chopra and Disha Patani.
