Rohit Shetty directorial and Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan starrer Bollywood movie Simmba has set the box office on fire. In just 5 days of the release, the film has garnered over 124 crores at the domestic box office and has become Rohit Shetty’s 8th film enter the 100-crore club. There is no denying that Ranveer Singh seen in the new light of a cop excited the fans much to watch the film, Ajay Devgn was another reason that the viewers couldn’t stop themselves from buying the tickets for Simmba. But can you guess what it must have been to have the two superstars Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh on the same set shooting for a scene? Well, director Rohit Shetty reveals it all.
This is the first time that Ranveer and Ajay Devgn are seen in a film together and according to the director, it was Ajay who broke the ice and made it all comfortable. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the director Rohit Shetty revealed that it was Ajay Devgn who took the first step and the two actors got along very well. He said, “I think the credit goes to Ajay to break the ice as he made Ranveer very comfortable. Obviously we all respect him, Ranveer has respect for him because he's a senior and he comes with an aura. Ajay comes into the film as Bajirao Singham and not as Ajay Devgn and definitely not for the sake of coming. So, obviously, the aura was there as Ajay was in his uniform and first time, Ranveer was shooting with him.”

There is no denying that Ajay Devgn’s strong personality itself speaks for him and can leave anyone intimidates. Even when the trailer of Simmba popped on the internet in December last year, fans went crazy to see Ajay Devgn fight the bad guys in his signature style. He was electrifying in every scene as much as was Ranveer Singh so one can imagine what it has been on the sets.
Interestingly, not just Ajay Devgn but Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar also has a cameo in Simmba. The actor enters the movie in the end as he will be playing Veer Sooriyavanshi in Rohit Shetty’s next film. It will also be a cop drama, based in the same world as Singham and Simmba.
Well, we cannot just wait for all the exciting movies Rohit Shetty is ready to come up with including Golmaal 5 as well.
