And when its veteran actress Rekha's birthday, expect some really fab throwback pictures to be floating on the social media. On her 64th birthday, we stumbled upon a picture that dates back to two years ago during an inaugural event for GG Super Speciality Hospital in Chennai. In the picture, Rekha is wrapped in her trademark kanjeevaram saree. She is posing with her sisters Jaya Shreedhar, Revathi Swaminathan, Kamala Selvaraj, Radha Usman Syed, Narayani Ganesan and Vijaya Chamundeswari.
The image surfaced online in the wake of Mahanati, which is a biopic based on Gemini Ganesan’s third wife Savitri.
Gemini Ganesan has four daughters with his first wife Alamelu- Revathi, Kamala, Jayalakshmi and Narayani. Rekha and Radha are his daughters with second wife Pushpavalli.
Savitri and Ganesan has two children, Vijaya Chamundeswari and son Satheesh Kumar.
Meanwhile, Mahanati is drawing criticism by Kamala Selvaraj who is upset with her father’s portrayal in the biopic. The film stars Keerthy Suresh as Savitri and Dulquer Salmaan as Gemini Ganesan.
