It’s going to be the first time that we’re going to see Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan romancing onscreen. They are coming together for the first time in Sharat Kataria’s Sui Dhaaga, whose trailer has been dropped lately. The trailer is already receiving love from the audience who’s pretty impressed to see them both together. During a promotional event for Sui Dhaaga, Anushka and Varun revealed something really surprising and hilarious.
Despite the fact that Sui Dhaaga is Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma’s first project together, you’ll be surprised to know that the duo have been knowing each other for long.
In an interview with India Today, Anushka Sharma said, “I started to really respect and like Varun when he did Badlapur, which was very early on in his career and he had just done Student of the Year.” Varun Dhawan interrupted and asked, “Before that?”.
“Varun and me actually could have been the greatest friends in the history of film fraternity,” added Anushka.
Then what happened between them? Why their friendship didn’t turn out to become the ‘greatest friendship in the history of film fraternity’?
Anushka Sharma explained, “There are two actors who stood between us and in the middle of our friendship. One is Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. They knew we would become friends and change cinema history. They spread rumours about us – that we didn’t like each other and all of that. They came in the path of our true friendship.”
However, Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan were taking funny jabs at their close friends Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. Anushka and Ranbir share a great rapport off screen. They have starred in one film together Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, back in 2016. Recently, the Sanju actor dined with Anushka and her cricketer husband Virat Kohli in Birmingham.
