Dhadak actress Janhvi Kapoor may not have been invited to Priyanka Chopra's engagement bash but that doesn't mean the duo doesn't share a good bond. Recently, both the actress met at a restaurant in the suburbs of Mumbai and the kind of affection which they displayed was beyond words. While PeeCee was there to celebrate her father Dr. Ashok Chopra's birth anniversary along with her mother Madhu Chopra, Janhvi was accompanied by her Dhadak director Shashank Khaitan.

On the other hand, Janhvi was slaying in her ethnic avatar. She wore a black kurti with grey dupatta and statement earrings. On a related note, Priyanka got engaged to her American singer beau Nick Jonas on August 18 at her Mumbai residence. It was a roka ceremony followed by an engagement bash. Revealing details about the ceremony in an interview with DNA, Priyanka's mother Madhu Chopra said, ''Nick enjoyed the prayers during the puja. It was a new thing for him and he took it seriously. On the professional front, Priyanka is currently busy shooting for Shonali Bose's The Sky is Pink, co-starring Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. The movie is based on Ayesha Chaudhary’s life and her book, My Little Epiphanies. Earlier, PeeCee opted out of Salman Khan starrer Bharat after which Katrina Kaif stepped into her shoes. On the other hand, Janhvi is all set to be a part of Karan Johar's directorial Takht, featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh among others.
