After treating the fans with the news of their collaboration for the actress’ next film, power couple Ajay Devgn and Kajol are all set to come together to support plastic ban that has been imposed in Maharashtra. As a part of their new association, the duo will be seen participating in various initiatives related to the campaign.
The stay on the ban of plastic bags in Maharashtra will end on June 23, after which any person found using them will have to pay the fine imposed by the authorities. While Ajay and Kajol are two very environmentally conscious people, the authorities are extremely grateful for such a support. It is also learned that the couple is likely to meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis soon and is expected to be present for the exhibition on July 22. Which is being organized by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to find an alternative to plastic bags.
Ajay Devgn and Kajol to support the plastic ban in Maharashtra
Well, this is not the first time that the power couple is backing up any social initiative but both of them are actively involved with various social organizations. On one hand, last year, Ajay Devgn became the goodwill ambassador for Smile Foundation, an NGO that has been working to support education for girls and women’s empowerment, wife Kajol supports the Help A Child Reach 5 campaign which generates awareness about the significance of washing hands with soap to prevent deaths among kids below the age of five.
On the work front, Ajay Devgn will be producing the next film featuring Kajol, tentatively titled as Ela. The flick will be directed by Pradeep Sarkar. It will feature Kajol in the role of a single mother and is an adaptation of the Gujarati play Beta Kagdo.
