Kapil Sharma is ruling headlines ever since he made a comeback on the small screen with his popular comedy show The Kapil Sharma Show. On Saturday, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, inaugurated India's first National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai and the comedian met him and also got clicked with him. Including Kapil Sharma, many big names of Bollywood like Karan Johar, Dinesh Vijan, Kartik Aaryan were present at the event.
After the event, Kapil took to his social media to share a special moment with PM Narendra Modi and captioned it as, “Respected pm Sh @narendramodi ji,it was nice meeting u n great knowing ur inspiring ideas and progressive views about our film industry and our nation. N sir I must say u have a great sense of humor too! Regards."
In time, Kapil’s tweet attracted the Prime Minister and he responded to it full of happiness. The PM tweeted on Sunday, “When @KapilSharmaK9 appreciates somebody's humour, it sure makes that person happy and I am no exception. :) Thank you for the kind words Kapil.”
At the event, PM Narendra Modi also quoted the viral and popular dialogue from Vicky Kaushal’s film Uri: The Surgical Strike. “Today when all of you have come together to take Indians' entertainment industry to new heights, I have a question for all of you. Every generation of stars are present here, and when I am here with the film fraternity, let me put it this way, 'How's the Josh?” asked PM Modi at the gathering at the event. His question was met with a round of applause and amidst which, the crowd shouted out ‘High Sir’.
Vicky Kaushal, who starred in the film Uri, shared the video as well and wrote, "What an honour!"
