Sonali Bendre, who is currently undergoing treatment for metastatic cancer in New York, has proved that she is warrior as she is fighting it positively. The diva, on the occasion of Book Lovers Day yesterday, spent some time in a book store.
Sonali is an avid reader and shared a pic of her on Instagram. In the pic, Sonali was seen wearing an off-white hat and holding a book. She captioned the pic as, ‘’Happy Book Lovers Day’’
Recently, Sonali's close friend Sussanne Khan and Gayatri Oberoi visited New York to meet her. Sonali even shared a glimpse of their meeting through a pic on Instagram. Sharing the picture, Sonali wrote a thank giving note, which read as, ''I am extremely grateful to my friends, my pillars of strength, who at a moment's notice, arrived to be with me and help me through this. In between their busy schedules they find time to visit, call, message, FaceTime... basically never leaving a moment for me to feel alone. Thank you for showing me what true friendship is. #HappyFriendshipDay, ladies.’’

Announcing the news of cancer, Sonali earlier wrote, “I am currently undergoing a course of treatment in New York. We remain optimistic and I am determined to fight every step of the way. What has helped has been the immense outpouring of love and support I've received over the past few days, for which I am very grateful."
