We all know how Abbas Mustan's directorial Baaziga' proved to be a milestone film of Shilpa Shetty's career. In the film, Shah Rukh Khan was seen romancing two heroines and one of them was Shilpa Shetty, who made her acting debut opposite SRK in Baazigar. The other actress was none other than the gorgeous Kajol. However, did you know that Baazigar wasn't supposed to be Shilpa Shetty's Bollywood debut?
Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who is one of the judges of the kids’ reality show Super Dancer, revealed about her journey in Bollywood. She revealed that it wasn’t Baazigar but another film that was meant to be her debut film. The actress shared she was supposed to make a debut with a film titled Gata Rahe Mera Dil. However, due to production issues, it never took off. She then revealed that she met director duo, Abbas-Mustan, who offered her a pivotal role in Baazigar, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.
Shilpa Shetty strangely didn't share the screen with SRK after Baazigar. barring a cameo in the ensemble song of Om Shanti Om.
For the unversed, Baazigar is a 1993 crime thriller movie and the same was directed by famous director duo Abbas–Mustan. It starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead roles. Shilpa played the role of Seema Chopra (elder sister of Kajol) in the flick. The movie was a major commercial success and the third highest grosser of the year.
