Karan Johar is one of the best hosts of Bollywood parties in the industry. His bashes are starry, lavish and trendy. Whether it is Holi, Diwali or New Year party, the ace director never fails to celebrate it with a get-together.
Karan who will turn 46 this May 25 will, however, won't be hosting a birthday bash. Reason, he will be out of country. Yes, Karan Johar has decided to ring in his 46th birthday in New York with close friends such as Manish Malhotra, Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Kaajal Anand. Well, we are disappointed. We won't get to know who came with whom and who wore what this year.
Last year, Karan's birthday bash was attended by a bevy of celebs including Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sara Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor among others.
Karan and Shweta are fond of each other. The duo recently appeared on BFFs with Vogue where they made interesting revelations about each other. Karan said, ''She’s obsessed with her kids’ lives. She is the world’s biggest stalker. She is the Jagga Jasoos on the Internet. And she’ll discuss all of them, not just Navya. Aryan, Suhana, Ananya..” Karan took a dig in jest by saying, “You think I hang out with them at parties, but at least I am not stalking them online.''
On the other hand, Shweta said, ''Karan is the most uncool person at a party. These days, he hangs out with a lot of young people. He is trying and my heart goes out to him, but, NOOOO, please stop it”.
