Let paparazzi guess if 'papa is raazi' quips Mahesh Bhatt on Ranbir, Alia's relationship

Mahesh Bhatt is all praise for Ranbir Kapoor just like his daughter.

Ranbir, Alia's relationship Here is what Mahesh Bhatt has to say on Ranbir, Alia's relationship

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have collaborated for the first time for Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra and reportedly the actors have started dating. From going out on family dinner to meeting each others' parents, the new lovebirds have been hogging all the limelight. Recently, Ranbir, Alia and Mahesh Bhatt were captured together as the actor visited Alia's residence. When Alia's director father was asked about the same, he gave an interesting reply.

''When I saw those pics, I was like, ‘Oh, the paparazzi age is here and you have people from the outside using their premise to capture the image, because that’s what the nation is thrusting for.’ So, not saying more, I’d let the paparazzi guess if papa is raazi,'' Bhatt said in an interview with Hindustan Times.

When asked if he gives advice to his daughter on her personal matters, Mahesh Bhatt denied doing so. He said Alia is an adult and he doesn't like to interfere in her personal space.''It’s very obvious that [Ranbir-Alia] are making no bones about talking to people about them being intimate. And I don’t belong to that category of parents who’d advise their children about their personal choices. Alia is an adult and it’s a matter that she has to resolve. It’s their life, their space. I respect and admire them for choosing to talk to the world when, and if, they want to do,'' said Mr Bhatt.

Bhatt is all praise for the Sanju actor just like his daughter. He is quite impressed with Ranbir's performance in the film. Talking about Ranbir and his talent, the director said,'' He astounded me in Sanju. After Amitabh Bachchan’s Deewar (1975), this is the first time I’ve seen an actor take charge of a character, which is iconic like Sanjay Dutt. Ranbir is barely 34 or 35 and though he comes from the great lineage of the Kapoor family, he has a unique charm and talent that’s his own. He is an original, just like Alia is an original.''

Ranbir and Alia are currently shooting for Brahmastra which will release in 2019. The sci-fi trilogy also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.
