#MeToo Movement has spread its wings in Bollywood in the last year and many women have come forward with their abuse stories. From Vinta Nanda to Tanushree Dutta, many women have accused big Bollywood celebs for sexual misconduct that left the industry as well as the fans in shock. However, the movement has been lauded by everyone in the industry. Recently, at the actresses’ round table conference, Bollywood diva Rani Mukerji also made a statement about Me Too and got trolled heavily on social media.

Rani Mukerji shared her views on Me Too and said, “I think as a woman you have to be that powerful within yourself, you have to believe that you're so powerful that if you ever come into a situation like that you have the courage to say 'back off.' I think you have to have the courage to be able to protect yourself,” adding, “you have to take responsibility for your own self."

After Rani’s opinion, Bollywood Queen Kangana Ranaut was also asked about what she thought of Rani’s stance on Me Too, to which the actress said, “People who need support, who need to be empowered, we must empower but agar Rani Laxmi Bai jaise ladkiyan agar humari society humein de sakti hai toh why not, unko discourage nahi karna chahiye. If they are strong women, we should not discourage women. I was 16-years-old when I filed my first FIR against sexual assault so there are people who can stand up for themselves, they shouldn’t be discouraged.” Further, Kangana was asked about children who are not empowered and she said, “Empowerment who need, they should be empowered but not necessarily everyone needs. Some people can give empowerment also. Some people are givers, the ones who can should be encouraged to give strength, people who are working with NGOs.”

Kanagan Ranaut is ready to treat her audience with a power-pcked of Rani laxmi Bai in her next Bollywood flm manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The trailer of the film has already created a lot of buzz on social media. The film also marks Kangana Ranaut’s directorial debut in Bollywood.
