Janhvi Kapoor has made her big Bollywood debut in 2018 with the film Dhadak and in no time she has earned a huge fan base. From featuring on magazine covers to advertisements, the actress is all over the place and is clearly enjoying the glamour world. This is no secret that Janhvi returned back to her work soon after the sudden death of her mother and legendary actress Sridevi and she claims that she still hasn’t realized that it has actually happened.
Ever since Janhvi Kapoor’s first interview for her debut film Dhadak, she has been continuously asked about her mother Sridevi and she answers with all the grace. Recently, in an interview for Famously Filmfare, Janhvi Kapoor talked about her mother’s death and said, “I think, I was still in that state of shock, to be very honest. I think I am still in shock. None of it has been processed. Like, I have no memory of three or four months.”
Further, Janhvi also talked about how dramatic her parents used to get about the boys in her life and would not understand the concept of ‘just chilling’. During the interview, Janhvi recalled, “Mom and dad were very dramatic about it (dating). (They would say) ‘when you like a guy, come to us and we’ll get you married.’ And I’m like what!? You know we don’t have to get married to every guy we like. Like we can be chill also,”
She further stated that Sridevi would say, " Like chill, what does chill mean." Rumours had it that janhvi Kapoor is dating her Dhadak co-star Ishaan Khatter, however, she clearly refused dating him in the interview.
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor will be next seen in Karan Johar’s directorial film titled Takht. A historical epic drama based on the Mughal era, which also stars Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Bhoomi Pednekar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Anil Kapoor. She will also be seen in Dharma Productions next film which tells the story of India's first female combat aviator, Gunjan Saxena.
